Bio Bidet BB 2000 Review

Bio Bidet is one of the most trusted and recognized brands in the bidet seat industry.  With over 15 years of manufacturing experience, Bio Bidet has introduced some of the best, most reliable bidet seats available.

The all-new Bio Bidet Bliss Series represents Bio Bidet’s newest flagship offering, and is a serious upgrade over their previous generation BB 1000 models.  The Bio Bidet BB 2000 is an amazing piece of engineering and one of the finest bidet seats in the world.

Design

This Bio Bidet BB 2000 review features a very clean and modern looking bidet toilet seat.  One of the first things you’ll notice is the silver trim going across the rear of the unit.  The silver works nicely with the white of the rest of the unit, and accents the bidet well.  The corners of the lid are slightly beveled which provides smooth looking edges as you look around the contour of the lid.

If you look closely at the back of the unit you will find three LED lights.  The first light is the power light, the second light indicates when the bidet is energy saving (sleep) mode, and the third light is for the occupied seat sensor – which lights up when someone is sitting on the seat.  The bidet’s wash functions only work when the seat is occupied.  This is a safety measure so you don’t accidentally spray water outside the toilet.

If you face the bidet head-on as if it was mounted on the toilet, the electric cord for the Bio Bidet BB 2000 extends from the right hand side and the cord is 38 inches long.  Also on this side is the vent for the air deodorizer and a quick-release button which unlatches the bidet from its mounting bracket.

On the opposite side you’ll find a touch screen mini-control panel which can be used to operate the bidet without the remote control.  Three buttons are available – posterior wash, feminine wash and a stop button.  The mini-control panel emits a cool blue LED light, making it easier to see day or night.  The water intake (where you connect the water hose) is on this side as well.

The body of the Bio Bidet BB 2000 measures 15.4 inches wide.  The elongated size model is 20.9 inches long and the bidet is 5.6 inches tall at its tallest point in the rear.  This compares to the previous generation BB 1000 which is 7.3 inches tall, so the BB 2000’s profile is 25% slimmer (largely due to improved water heating technology which we’ll discuss in more detail below).  The Bio Bidet BB 2000 weighs 10.6 pounds.

Wireless Remote Control

With the Bio Bidet BB 2000, you actually get a choice of two colors when selecting your remote control – white or black.  The button layout is exactly the same regardless of which color you choose.

The BB 2000 remote control is shaped like a TV remote – taller than it is wide, approximately 6.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide.  The remote comes with a wall-mounting bracket so you can operate the bidet from the wall.  Alternatively, the remote conveniently slides out of the bracket as well.  You can hold the remote in one hand and access all the buttons with your thumb.  When done – simply slide the remote back into the bracket.

You’ll find a convenient LCD display towards the top-half of the remote, while the buttons are down below.  Indicator icons on the LCD show which of the bidet functions are being used.  The LCD display is especially useful when dealing with adjustable settings, for example – bars indicate which water pressure setting your seat is set at (there are five different water pressure settings).  This is similar in concept to the signal bars on your cell phone showing the strength of your phone’s reception.

We found the remote control for the Bio Bidet BB 2000 easy to use.  Friendly pictures (not words) are printed on each button, which makes it intuitive to figure out what each button does.

Bidet Functions

The Bio Bidet BB 2000 Bliss Series carries over the same “3 in 1” single pocket nozzle design from the BB 1000, albeit with some upgrades.  The most noticeable upgrade is that the nozzle is now predominantly made of stainless steel.  Another significant upgrade is that, based on consumer feedback – the spray outlets produce a wider spray pattern for more effective cleansing, particularly for the feminine area.

Per the “3 in 1” design, at the tip of the nozzle you’ll find three different spray outlets.  The spray outlet at the bottom is for feminine wash, the middle outlet is for posterior wash, and the spray outlet up top is for turbo (enema) wash.

Via the remote control, you can adjust the nozzle position more forward or more backwards so the water spray best suits your body.  You can also increase/decrease the water pressure, and increase/decrease the water temperature.  Water temperature is adjustable in four settings – room temperature, low (93 degrees), medium (99 degrees) and high (104 degrees).

The Bio Bidet BB 2000 uses new on-demand Hybrid Heating Technology to adjust water temperature.  The advantages of on-demand heaters are threefold:  (1) you get never ending warm water, (2) they're more energy efficient because they're not regulating temperature 24 hours a day and, (3) the unit is more compact and streamlined since there's no bulky water tank inside.

The previous generation BB 1000 used a reservoir tank heater but the downside was that you were limited to ~40 seconds of warm water (however much water the tank could hold).  Newer on-demand (tankless) water heating systems have the advantage of never-ending warm water, but sometimes you might feel a split-second of cold water before the heating coil has a chance to heat the water.  The Bio Bidet BB 2000's Hybrid Heating Technology combines the benefits of both these heating systems, without the downside.  With the BB 2000 – you get never ending warm water that starts at your desired temperature.

Other wash features to note in this Bio Bidet Bliss review include an oscillation/move function, which moves the nozzle back and forth – extending the cleaning area.  There’s also a water pulse feature which pulsates the water stream.  You can use these features together (oscillating while pulsating at the same time) and with both feminine wash and posterior wash functions.  The bidet also has the optional turbo (enema) wash feature.

Additional Features

Other features include the popular heated toilet seat which comes in handy during the winter months.  No more sitting on freezing toilet seats!  The Bio Bidet BB 2000 is equipped with a convenient air dry to help with residual moisture after washing.  The air dry is adjustable over five settings - fan only (no heat), low, medium and high.  The bidet’s self-cleaning function rinses the nozzle with water before and after each use.  A built-in air deodorizer circulates air thru a permanent carbon filter, helping eliminate unwanted odor.  And the energy saving feature of the Bio Bidet BB 2000 puts your bidet to sleep when not in use.

We also note the Bio Bidet BB 2000 comes with 100% warranty coverage for three full years.  While most bidets offer a pro-rated warranty plan (100% coverage in the 1st year, 75% coverage in the 2nd year and 50% coverage in the 3rd year), the BB 2000 warranty provides complete, 100% protection for an entire three years.  You also have the option to add an additional three years of extended coverage for $99, totaling six years of coverage.  This is the best warranty plan in the business.
