The idea happened in 2009 when our founder, Jensen Lee, was staying at a friend’s apartment overseas. They had a bidet toilet seat installed in their home and after trying it, Jensen was rather impressed to say the least! This was his first time using a bidet seat but immediately he realized how much more comfortable and cleaner bidet seats were vs. the toilet paper he had been using. It was SO much better, and he was dumbfounded how he had never come across one before.
Once returning home to the U.S., Jensen wanted to buy one but discovered there wasn’t a lot of information out there on bidet seats. They were impossible to find in retail stores – couldn’t find them at Walmart, Target, Home Depot or Lowes. There were a few websites that sold bidet seats, but these websites hardly gave enough product detail, for a consumer to decide on one bidet over the other. These websites did a poor job of explaining how they worked, and what the benefits of bidet seats were.
So he built his own site and in March 2010, www.bidetsplus.com was born. Sales were important of course, but even more important was the educational aspect of the site. Nobody in this country even knew what a bidet seat was! The site focused heavily on product reviews, video reviews, bidet benefits, bidet articles, and other “how-to's” in an effort to educate America. That first month in March 2010 we sold one bidet seat. But hey, it was a start.
Fast-forward to March 2019 (the time of this writing). This month is bidetsPLUS’ 9 Year Anniversary, and we have changed thousands of lives. We have been able to successfully educate our visitors on our products, and our customers LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their bidet seats. You can read the hundreds of reviews and testimonials on our website. Our customers will tell you - they will not go back to life without a bidet seat again.
Rubbing yourself with dry, abrasive paper is not the way to clean the most sensitive part of your body. Washing with water is the best way to clean. Many of us have been conditioned since childhood to accept something different. We’ve been taught to use dry paper to clean ourselves. But it’s wrong.
We hope that here at bidetsPLUS, you'll learn more about the modern bidet seat.
