Many of us have had the experience of getting in a car and sitting on a warmed seat.  What a luxury it is to sit on a warmed seat in your automobile.  Whether it’s in the morning, a chilly evening, or on the way back to the cabin after a day skiing, the heated seat keeps you nice and warm until you reach your destination.

The technology that helped sell so many cars can also be found in the modern electronic bidet.  In fact, the temperature controlled heated seat is a favorite feature for many bidet owners.  Like the car seat, the heated toilet seat is powered by electricity.  This makes sense as the electronic bidet needs to be plugged into a power outlet anyhow.  It was quite clever for engineers to design a bidet that not only cleans you, but provides heated comfort at the same time.  After all, the primary function of the bidet is to wash.  But secondary features such as the warm toilet seat are things that certainly add to the bidet experience.

To best explain the benefits of the bidet’s heated seat, let’s provide a practical everyday example.  When we wake up in the morning, the first thing we usually need to do is go to the toilet right?  So we walk into the bathroom, and sit on a freezing toilet seat.  Yikes!  Not the best way to start the day.

Now imagine another scenario.  You wake up in the morning, walk into the bathroom, and sit on a nice warmed toilet seat.  Ahh...  going to the restroom in complete comfort now.  That’s more like it.

For those of you who are wondering…  yes, the seat’s temperature is adjustable.  The number of settings varies by model but usually, bidets come with two to five different seat temperature settings.  Actual seat temperature varies across these settings as well, but typically range between 93 degrees and 110 degrees Fahrenheit.  Since electronic bidets are equipped with advanced power saving features, energy consumption is minimized when the warm toilet seat is not in use.  If you prefer your seat at room temperature, the heated seat feature can be turned off as well.

So the next time you’re sitting on a freezing cold toilet seat, consider what a warmed bidet seat can do for you.  Not only will a bidet clean you better, but you’ll be more comfortable too.  No more sitting on freezing seats!
