This Blooming bidet review features the Blooming NB-R1060 bidet toilet seat. In addition to this model, we also carry the BL 17 from Blooming. Both these models are virtually the same, with the primary difference being that the NB-R1060 has a remote control, while the BL 17 has an attached control panel.
Note: You'll see a square piece of paper on the toilet seat in some of the scenes of this Blooming NB-R1060 bidet review video. This paper was dampened slightly with water to activate the seat sensor, so we could demonstrate bidet functions.
The Blooming NB-R1060 is one of the newer bidet seats available. One of its chief design goals, was to be compatible with all different types of toilets. For example, a bidet seat won’t fit if there isn’t enough clearance between the back of the toilet bowl and the front of the water tank. This is especially common with one-piece toilets, or toilets where a curved water tank limits the space where the rear of the bidet should sit. The Blooming NB-R1060 however, takes care of this problem and fits virtually any toilet in the world.
We note in this Blooming NB-R1060 review that towards the back of the bidet toilet seat, there is a mini control panel with four lighted indicators. One of the lights lets you know the power is on. The second light is for the night light, and the last two buttons are for the different power saving modes. The mini panel also allows you to operate the bidet seat without the remote control. Buttons are available to activate cleansing, power saving, and to turn on the night light.
Night lights are not common on bidet toilet seats, but the Blooming NB-R1060’s night light works really well. It’s not just a little light on the side of the bidet either. The night light illuminates the entire toilet bowl! An attractive feature that was well executed by Blooming.
According to manufacturer specifications, the toilet bidet seat measures 15.4 inches wide. The elongated seat version measures 20.5 inches long, and the round seat version measures 19.2 inches long.
We also mention in the Blooming NB-R1060 review, that the water intake hose connects on the right side of the toilet bidet seat. On the left side, you’ll find the power cord. The unit is 6.1 inches in height at its tallest point in the rear, and weighs 10 pounds.
Wireless Remote Control
The Blooming NB-R1060’s remote is the most compact remote control we’ve seen. It measures about six inches tall, and is attractively designed with a light purple background. There is an LCD screen which shows which of the bidet toilet seat’s functions are being used and under which setting. For example, if the seat temperature is at the second setting, the LCD will show that. Overall, the remote control was very intuitive to use and a beginner should have no problem figuring it out.
The wireless remote control comes with a remote control holder which can be mounted on the wall. You can leave the remote control on the wall and control the toilet bidet seat from there, or you slide the remote out of its holder and control the bidet seat from your lap. The remote requires two AA batteries, which are included.
The bidet works with a dual-functioning, single nozzle, which has been specially treated with an anti-microbial coating. Two different spray outlets can be found at the tip of the nozzle – one for posterior wash, and another for frontal wash.
The position of the wash nozzle can be adjusted. You can also adjust the water pressure, and adjust the water’s temperature.
The Blooming NB-R1060 also comes with a massage feature which can be used to extend the cleaning area. And the pulsation feature pulsates the water stream. The massage and pulsation features are available for both posterior and frontal washes. We also point out in this Blooming bidet review that the massage and pulsation features can be used at the same time as well, so it’s not just one or the other.
With five different air dry settings, we found the Blooming NB-R1060 to have one of the best air dry features of the bidet toilet seats we reviewed.
The unit also features a slow closing seat, and lid. Additional features of this toilet bidet seat include a self cleaning function which rinses off the nozzles before and after each use. There’s also a temperature controlled, heated seat but if you prefer your seat at room temperature, you can simply turn this feature off. The bidet seat also has a power saving mode, which decreases energy consumption when not in use.
